The room finish and furnishings can have an impact on the quality of image on the screen and audio levels, it is therefore important that if the audio visual installation is being done as part of a building project that all areas are discussed at an early stage. During this process other contractors will be engaged to ensure that every aspect of the room is considered and expectations meet.

This becomes even more critical once video conferencing is introduced in to a room, textures, colours, finishes and lighting must be taken into consideration to ensure that the video system is going to deliver the desired effect.

The investment in to video equipment only becomes good value for money if the systems are user friendly and are used regularly, if the room settings are not designed round a video call the perceived experience will be poor and the system not used to its full potential.
